Blacktail Ranch, Wolf Creek, Montana
August 11-17, 2019

You are invited to join me in exploring inner and outer wilderness at the beautiful Blacktail Ranch in Wolf Creek, Montana!

Experience the healing power of mountains and forests, rivers, sunshine, blue sky, and the companionship of kindred spirits. For seven days and six nights, including arrival and departure days, we will enjoy the wide-open spaces of Big Sky Country on an 8,000 acre ranch at the foot of the Continental Divide and adjoining the Helena National Forest, the largest piece of roadless area in the lower 48. Leaving our “civilized” world behind, we will awaken to our own wildness as we connect deeply with nature, horses, and ourselves.

Our time together will include Meditation, Carl Jung and Robert Moss-based Dreamwork, Journaling and Shamanic Journeying, Ceremony, and Horse as Mirror. Your relationship with your assigned horse will serve, like the wilderness itself, as a mirror to your own psyche. It will be an important focus for leaning as well as pleasure.

Gatherings will be held in the lovely Raymer cabin as well as outdoors. During the week we will have ample opportunity to ride: two rides in the hills surrounding the lodge; an all-day ride to the ranch camp (The Hideaway), nestled in a serene meadow ringed by old growth forest, and a ride our last afternoon to an ancient, sacred Native American cave to experience the transformative power of ceremony and song and a shamanic journey for each person to find her sacred gift.

In this breathtaking wilderness setting we may be awed by a fox running across a meadow, a bear feeding on a hillside, an eagle soaring overhead. We may hear a coyote or wolf howling in the evening sunset as we gather around the fire pit. If we are really fortunate, we might even see a wolverine--a truly rare occurrence!

Fee: $2475
There is a discount of $100 if registration is received by April 1. After April 1, the fee is $2475. There may be a massage therapist available during our stay for an additional fee.

For a single room in the lodge, add $100.
For a double occupancy cabin, add $175.
For a single room in the Raymer Cabin (where we will be holding our gatherings in the living room) add $175.
For a single cabin, add $325.

A deposit of $500 is required to hold your reservation. The remainder is due June 10. Other Important Information:
In June you will be sent a questionnaire, suggested pack list, and additional guidance from me that will help you prepare for the inner as well as the outer journey. You can fly into Great Falls and take the ranch shuttle for $100 round trip, or you can rent a car and drive to the ranch, about an hour and a half drive. Shuttle fee is due June 10. The shuttle pick up is in the early afternoon August 11, again later if necessary. Check in is 3-5 p.m., followed by dinner and an evening gathering. On departure day the shuttle will run around 10 a.m. and again later if necessary. It’s best to arrange your arrival flight for late morning/early afternoon if possible, and departure flight for after 2 p.m. on August 17. Some previous participants have spent the night before or the night after the retreat in Great Falls.

Come because you want to experience “The Last Best Place” . . .
Come because you love horses . . .
Come because your soul is calling you to go deeper . . .
Come because dreams are knocking on the door of your consciousness, and you’re ready
to pay attention . . .

“Connie is an excellent teacher, storyteller, and guide. She brings vast knowledge and laughter to the workshops. There was intensity as well as humor. I felt safe and well cared for. This is a must for anyone seeking to expand their consciousness, play with horses, see astounding natural beauty in wild untouched nature, and develop new friendships. My heart is full. Thank you!”C.T.

“The Dreamwork was amazing. I loved the process. Connie is a true healer. I appreciate her organization and the activities she provided for a full week. Her caring and kindness is reflected in everything she does--truly an excellent group leader. Her great knowledge and experience made this retreat a real learning and growing experience for me.”

“I loved the horseback riding, time on the mountain, the variety of dreamwork, especially the dream drama, and the evening ride up in the hills. The afternoon off was perfect, the timing of the rides, and the gatherings.”
